About Us

Our Story

Dressage at Laurel's Edge is a family dream that became a business in 2020. Owners Paula and Evie, a mother/daughter team, began riding and competing dressage together through training young horses to FEI. In 2020, they made the move from the suburbs of Philadelphia to Chester County to start their business. Paula focused on her passion for breeding, while Evie started her training business. Scott enjoys caring for the horses and keeping the farm at its best.

Paula Oliver

Paula is the founder of Dressage at Laurel's Edge and manages the breeding program. She used her expertise as a geneticist and dressage competitor to find the right stallions for each mare to produce offspring with top rideability and athleticism. As an FEI rider herself, she is an expert at knowing what lines to bring together to create the very best dressage partner.

Evie Oliver

Evie is the head trainer at Dressage at Laurel's Edge. As a bronze and silver medalist with distinction, she can help any person or horse from very beginner to working on FEI. She specializes on bringing young warmblood horses through the levels in dressage, but also has experience with alternative breeds. She is also in charge of the sales horses here at the farm and prides herself in finding the best partner for you and your needs.

Acknowledgements

We owe a lot of our success to retired breeder, Maurine Swanson. Almost all of our mares were bred by her, and we hope to continue her legacy in promoting and continuing US breeding. Thank you to Bethany P Photography and Deb Kail Photography for the amazing photos used on this site.
