Dressage at Laurel's Edge is a family team who started to pursue this dream in 2021. It started with Paula and Evie, a mother and daughter, who began riding and competing dressage together through fostering young horses and bringing them up to FEI. During COVID, they made the move from outside of Philly to the Chester County area to start their own farm. This is when Paula was able to begin her passion for breeding, and Evie started her training business. Scott came along for the ride, and enjoys caring for the horses and keeping the farm at its best.
Paula is the founder of Dressage at Laurel's Edge and manages breeding. She works tirelessly to find the right stallions to fit with each and every mare to make the best possible offspring. As an FEI rider herself, she is an expert at knowing what lines to bring together to create the very best dressage partner.
Evie is the head trainer at Dressage at Laurel's Edge. As a bronze and silver medalist with distinction, she can help any person or horse from very beginner to working on FEI. She specializes on bringing young warmblood horses through the levels in dressage, but also has experience with alternative breeds. She is also in charge of the sales horses here at the farm and prides herself in finding the best partner for you and your needs.
We owe a lot of our success to retired breeder, Maurine Swanson. Almost all of our mares were bred by her, and we hope to continue her legacy in promoting and continuing US breeding.
