Our Competition Mares
Elite Mare Shading
Shading is a 2014 Elite mare by Shakespeare out of Wynneth by Widmark. She was an elite foal at her inspection and received Verband Premium status at her mare performance test. Paula and Evie purchased her as a yearling, and have brought her up together. Evie has competed at the North American Youth Championships with Shading at both the Junior and Young Rider categories. More recently, they have competed up to Intermediate 1 with scores up to 69% and are currently working towards Grand Prix. Shading has produced multiple premium and elite foals. She passes to her offspring high quality movement and her excellent work ethic.
Elite Mare Shistine
Shistine is a 2014 Elite mare by Sir James out of Dhewpoint by DiCaprio. As a 3 yr old, she was 5th in the Materiale Championships at Devon. At her Oldenburg GOV mare performance test she received the Special Premium title. Her scores included 8's for trot, canter, and rideability. Shistine spent some time as a broodmare before Paula put her back under saddle. They are currently working towards PSG with scores at third level up to 72%. Shistine has had multiple foals who inherited her correct movement and sweet temperament.
Elite Mare Shiloh
Shiloh is a 2009 Elite GOV mare by Shakespeare out of Dhominica by DeNiro. At her mare perfromance test, she received 8's for saddle position, frame, and breed and sex type. At the mare performance test she received 8.5 for trot and 7.5 for canter and rideability. After having several premium foals, Paula and Evie put her back under saddle and brought her up to Intermediare 1. She competed at the Young Rider and Small Tour level at CDIs. Now she is available for on-farm lease at Dressage at Laurel's edge and is teaching riders the upper level movements and helping them earn their bronze and silver medals.
Special Premium Candidate Ferrari
Fherrari is a 2018 GOV mare by Foundation out of Rheporter by Royal Prince. She was an elite foal at her inspection. At her German Oldenburg Mare inspection she received the highest scores ever given in the USA by the German Oldenburg Verband: an 8.75 inspection score and 9.2 on her Mare Performance Test. At Dressage at Devon, she was reserve in the 3 year old filly materiale with 82.9%, and was winner of the 3 year old fillies class 84.375%. She has now competed through third level with scores up to 73%. She is owned by Debra Kail and we are honored to have her as part of our herd.
Franziska
Franziska is a 2012 mare by Franziskus out of Senorita Donnerhall by Sir Donnerhall. She clearly inherited her father's expressive trot and potential for the highest level of the sport. She received a 7.5 on her mare inspection in 2024. She is currently competing fourth level with clear ability for piaffe/passage. Evie put her back under saddle in the fall of 2024, and she is now for sale. Luckily, we will be keeping her bloodlines with her 2025 filly. She passes on her super gaits, uphill conformation and lovable personality.
